Oh Yeah! I love Pickin' and Grinnin'!

Many, many moons ago, when I was in high school, I played in a bluegrass band and had dreams of becoming a great bluegrass picker. I gave up those dreams and went off to Bible College to prepare for the ministry. Many years, six children between my wife and I, and 5 grand children later, I still love bluegrass!

I don't get to play much any more, and barely remember a song or two, but I love to get my sons, Tim and Thomas, together for a good jam session. Everyone has so many responsibilities these days playing music has had to take a back seat to life.

These days I am playing around with a little blues. I am backing up and learning scales and guitar theory. Playing by ear can only get you so far. Every once in a while I pick up my banjo and try to remember a song or two.

I would love to get together with some other players on a regular basis so If you would like to play e-mail me at bvwoody@pstcc.edu.

On this blog page I will be posting lots of links and tools to help you with your playing. When I find something good on the web, I will be sure to share it with you.
