How does one express
gratitude to a friend who was instrumental in calming fears,
building confidence and performing each task asked? My words
will not be adequate, but I will try to tell you about a horse
that meant so much to us. Texas, a grade quarter horse, was
the horse everyone asked to ride. Why, you ask. If you
were young and inexperienced he was patient and slow. He gave
you plenty of time to mount and seemed to know to take things easy.
If you were experienced he would go with the slightest urging and
stop on a dime. He took everything in stride and seem to have
a depth that you could see when you looked into his eyes. Even
in the last days of his life when he was in much pain, his
gentleness remained steadfast. He knew you were there trying
to help him. We will miss Texas and grieve his loss here at
Little Creek Horse Farm.

Check out the new horse!
I thought I would tell you about me new horse! She certainly
is a looker! If she rides as well as she looks, she will
made a good companion. I'm not sure what to name her yet,
but I am leaning toward "Rusty" right now.I have included a couple of pictures of Rusty
below:

We have a new baby! Meet Rookie...
(6/2/08)

Click here for more pictures of the first few hours
of Rookie's life...
This photo of Rookie was taken when
she was just a few hours old. Rookie is about a week old know and seems to
be doing fine. I saw her running way out in front of the herd,
leading the rest of the horses in a wild romp around the farm yesterday. She
seems to be getting really strong.
Check out our buggy...
We just finished cleaning up the buggy Debbie's dad bought
this week. I think it's looking pretty good. We are looking
for a good horse that will pull the buggy. If you have, or
know someone who has, a horse that is trained to pull a
buggy that you want to sell call us at 865-936-5922.

 Halls
Horse Auction

If you are looking
for me and my family on Saturday and can't find us, we are
most likely at the Horse auction in Halls, Tn. We enjoy
meeting all our friends and being around all the horses. You
never know what might show up on any givin sale night. We
recently bought a beautiful
American Bulldog at the sale! Here is a picture of him
below.
(view our dogs)
If you are bored of just hanging around the house this
winter, come on out, get a hamburger at the grill and watch
all the fun as the auctioneer sells all kinds of horse
paraphernalia, horses and goats. They have the sale every
second and fourth Saturday evening. The sale starts at 7:00
PM and goes until about 9:00 or 9:30 PM.
The tack is
auctioned first, then the goats, and then the horses. We
have saved a lot of money buying our tack at the auction
instead of going to the high priced tack stores, and we have
a lot of fun too.
